Boracay Budget Meals, Where to Eat Cheap in Boracay?

Today we’re going to have another Boracay food trip but this time we’re doing a budget meal edition. Tourist destinations are expected to be pricey and the dining scene in Boracay is not an exception. However, it is not impossible to have a great culinary experience on the island without breaking the bank. Here are two budget-friendly restaurants we tried during our vacation.

Jasper’s Tapsilog and Resto

Our first stop is Jasper’s Tapsilog and Resto. They have been serving all-time Filipino favorites on the island since 1995. Lunch and dinner time is always a blockbuster at Jasper’s because the food is cheap and delicious.

They are specifically known for their all-day breakfast meals such as Tapsilog for less than PHP 100.00. They also serve various ulam in classic turo-turo style and their menu changes every day so you will never get tired of their food.

Here are some of the dishes we tried during our visit.

Tapsilog – PHP 85.00
Sizzling Sisig – PHP 135.00
Batchoy – PHP 70.00

The Verdict: 4.5 / 5.0

Address: Station 2 Main Rd. Boracay Island Malay, Aklan

Operating Hours: 6:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Kolai Mangyan

Less than 200 m away from Jasper’s is another budget-friendly restaurant, Kolai Mangyan. It is located in front of the newly opened Hennan Park Resort. The restaurant is known for serving rice toppings called “Budbud” and “Bulasing” which is a combination of Bulalo and Sinigang soup.

They also offer all-day breakfast meals and sizzling plates with most of it for just under PHP 100.00. The restaurant’s bamboo and nipa nut-inspired interior perfectly match Boracay’s tropical island vibes.

Here are some of the dishes we tried during our visit.

Budbud All Mix (Beef, Pork, Lumpiang Shanghai) – PHP 75.00
Pansit Pork Toppings – PHP 140.00
Garlic Kangkong – PHP 40.00
Porksilog – PHP 80.00
Bulasing (Bulalo + Sinigang na Pata) – PHP 90.00

The Verdict: 4.5 / 5.0

Address: Station 2 Main Rd. Boracay Island Malay, Aklan

Operating Hours: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
