Today, we are going on a day trip from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. If you’re in Dubai and looking for a quick escape, a day trip to Abu Dhabi is the perfect getaway! Just a 90-minute drive from the city, Abu Dhabi offers a blend of cultural landmarks, architecture, and beautiful beaches.

We booked this day trip via Klook for more or less PHP 1500.00, use promo code PHILKLOOK to get as much as 5% off.

Before entering Abu Dhabi, our tour guide brought us to Last Exit for a bathroom break. Last Exit is a unique rest stop that has a lot of dining options. It is a Mad Max-inspired attraction with lots of war rigs, monster trucks, and abandoned cars used as cool decor.

Our first stop is Abu Dhabi’s Dates Market, it boasts its amazing collection of dates especially the Medjool dates known for their delicious taste and soft peel. Practice your haggling skills and enjoy the free samples that the generous traders are handing out.

Up next is Abu Dhabi’s Heritage Village, a family-friendly spot that allows you to experience the traditional way of life in the desert. They have an open-air museum displaying some traditional tents. There is even a camel that you can ride or take pictures with. In the back is a small strip of beach with a beautiful view of the city skyline.

Finally, the highlight of the entire tour, is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in the world. The most notable elements of the mosque is the number of domes it has, its 4 minarets, and a couple of colorful crystal chandeliers.

As the mosque is a place of worship and reflection, it’s important to be aware of its rules and regulations. Visitors are required to dress modestly, women must wear long, loose-fitting, and not see-through clothing and cover their hair with a scarf. Meanwhile, the dress code for men has been relaxed recently. Photography is allowed, but certain areas may be restricted and wacky poses are prohibited.
