Mount Fuji in a Day: A Quick Getaway from Tokyo

Today, we’re going on a day tour to Mt. Fuji, where we’ll explore some breathtaking spots around this iconic mountain.

We booked this day trip via Klook for more or less PHP 3000, use promo code PHILKLOOK to get as much as 5% off.

Our first stop is something uniquely Japanese—a quick break at a convenience store! But it’s not just any convenience store. Here, we’re greeted with a stunning view of Mt. Fuji in the background.

Next, we head to Oishi Park, known for its incredible seasonal flowers and perfect views of Mt. Fuji across Lake Kawaguchi. We went up to the second floor of Oishi Park Cafe to enjoy an unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji while enjoying a cone of Cremia ice cream.

Our journey continues to Oshino Hakkai, a charming village famous for its crystal-clear ponds. The water in these ponds comes from Mt. Fuji’s melted snow. Tourists can drink the refreshing, cool water directly from the source. This is also where the tour group had lunch.

Our final stop is Arakurayama Sengen Shrine, home to the iconic Chureito Pagoda. This is one of the most famous viewpoints of Mt. Fuji, where the five-story pagoda perfectly frames the mountain in the distance. But one has to climb 398 steep steps to enjoy this magnificent view.
