Great Ocean Road Day Trip from Melbourne: Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, and Must-See Stops

Today, we’re joining the Great Ocean Road tour from Melbourne featuring the iconic Twelve Apostles.

We booked this day trip through Klook for approximately PHP 4,000. Traveling to Melbourne soon? Book hotels and activities via Klook and use promo code PHILKLOOK to get as much as 5% off!

We were picked up from the meeting place at 7:00 AM and started our journey with a complimentary light breakfast of tea, biscuits, and lamingtons.

Our first stop was the Memorial Arch at Eastern View for a few quick photos. We also checked out the nearby surfing beaches and soaked in a bit of sunshine.

Next, we visited Cape Patton Lookout Point for some breathtaking ocean views.

We had lunch at the coastal town of Apollo Bay and ordered a huge serving of fish and chips—perfect fuel for the rest of the day!

Our tour guide brought us to a forested area where wild koalas are sometimes spotted. Luckily, we saw a few lounging high up in the eucalyptus trees!

The highlight of the trip was visiting the Twelve Apostles—these towering limestone stacks rising from the ocean are truly a sight to behold, especially with the afternoon sun shining above them.

Before heading back to the city, we also explored Loch Ard Gorge. The towering cliffs and turquoise waters make it one of the most scenic spots on the coast.

Our final stop was The Razorback, a narrow, rugged limestone formation carved by waves—it perfectly captures the wild beauty of the Great Ocean Road.
