Day Trip from Seoul: Alpaca World, Soy Sauce Dakgalbi, and Gangchon Rail Bike

Today, we’re going on a day trip from Seoul to Gangwon Province to experience Alpaca World and the Gangchon Rail Bike!

Our first stop: Alpaca World, a park dedicated to the fluffiest and friendliest alpacas you’ll ever meet. Alpacas are gentle, woolly animals—similar to llamas, but a bit smaller. They’re covered in soft fleece and are known for their curious personalities. Make sure to arrive before the park opens, so you can see the alpacas up close, feed them, and even pet them!

Our tour guide took us to a local restaurant that serves soy sauce dakgalbia Chuncheon specialty. Most people know the spicy gochujang version, but this one is savory, a little sweet, and not spicy at all. The tender chicken, vegetables, and rich soy sauce blend together really well.

Our last stop is the Gangchon Rail Bike. The three of us pedaled along this old railway line, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and farmland. The scenery was breathtaking! We even passed through tunnels decorated with lights and music. It was raining the whole time, but we still had a lot of fun.

We booked this day trip via Klook for about ₱3,500 per person. A trip to Nami Island is included in this package, but we requested not to go due to heavy rains. Traveling to Korea soon? Book hotels and activities via Klook and use promo code PHILKLOOK to get up to 5% off.
